CAREER DETAILS
April 2022 - Current
POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW
Currently completing a Hōhua Tutengahere Postdoctoral Research Fellowship based at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiāranig, and funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand. This 4-year project offers a kaupapa Māori analysis of the multiple dimensions of Māori cannabis and methamphetamine use. A mixed methods approach will include key informant interviews and quantitative data analysis. Given the significant lack of kaupapa Māori health research specific to cannabis and methamphetamine use, the recent cannabis referendum and increasing Māori dependence on methamphetamine, this research will contribute timely, innovative and necessary knowledge that informs Māori wellbeing.
